Buttershaw St Paul's will be hoping to strike a blow for the Conference when they play in Sunday's Jack Hampshire final at Ossett.

St Paul's, who are leading the race for the Conference title with a side that has a good blend of youth and experience, fancy their chances of overcoming an Ossett side playing on their home ground.

The experience comes from players like former Yorkshire and Northants all-rounder Tosh Baker, Ben Platt, Paul Carroll and Gary Wainwright.

They also have talented younger players like Kevin McDermott, Jamie Robson and Adam Wainwright - son of Gary - who have been makling a good impression this season.

St Paul's have beaten Great Preston, Azaad and Keighley to reach the final while Ossett, a side that has improved steadily as the season has progressed, have knocked out Wakefield St Michael's, Gildersome and Adwalton

Overseas player Usman Khalid is a key figure for Ossett while Shabbir Rashid has also contributed valuable runs.

Sunday's match starts at 1pm and will be umpired by Bernard Richardson and Abbas Dadhiwala .

Admission is £3 for adults and £1.50 for concessions.
