Peter Gott was a fine performer in the fifties and sixties

 

 

Peter Gott, a highly-respected Bradford League player in fifties and sixties, has died.

Gott enjoyed spell with Bradford & Bingley (1956), Yeadon 1957-60 and Salts in 1961 and 62. He also played with success in the Huddersfield League.

Gott was a member of the Salts side that won the Bradford League title in 1961. His final game was when he made one appearance as a 50-year-old alongside his son Chris for Farsley against Pudsey St Lawrence.

He followed the career of Chris when he moved to Pudsey St Lawrence, the club he is now chairman of.
