LEAGUE CREST EAST BIERLEY STALWART DIES

 

 

 

It is with sadness that the JCT600 Bradford League has learned of the death of East Bierley stalwart Donald Ledgard on Sunday, aged 86.

Donald, who won the the coveted Sir Leonard Hutton Trophy for services to the JCT600 Bradford League in 1994, served his club for more than 60 years, and passed away suddenly after a prolonged period of illness.

He rose from being a committee member to become chairman and then president of his club. He also served on the league management committee and was a life member of the league.

A much-loved husband of his late wife Brenda, Donald leaves three children Alison, Nick and Hilary and four grandchildren, Pandora, James, Lucy and Honey.

The thoughts of the JCT600 Bradford League are with his family at this sad time.

Details of Donald's funeral have yet to be confirmed.
