Hanging Heaton cruised to a 131-run win over East Bierley towin the Crowther Cup at sunny Cawthorne.

After making 203 after being asked to bat first, Hanging Heaton dismissed their All Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League rivals for just 72.

Man of the match James Byrne took 5-33 and veteran Mick Horner 4-33 as Hanging Heaton took just 20.5 overs to bowl East Bierley out.

Six of the batsmen were out lbw and only two batsmen, last man Wayne Robinson (24) and Ross Monaghan (15) made double figures.

The biggest partnership was 31 for the last wicket between Robinson and Tom Ormondroyd.

There was no hinto of what was to come in the second innings when Hanging Heaton batted first after being put in.

The experienced duo of Steve Bourne (60) and Rob McFarlane (41) shared a third-wicket stand of 99 which gave their side's innings momentum.

Bourne hit 11 fours and after he deaprted, Chris Goodair (30no) ensured his side topped 200.

Robinson (3-31) and Dan Abbott (3-38) were the pick of the East Bierley bowlers .
