Cleckheaton opening bowler Iain Wardlaw and the Scotland team are still searching for their first World Cup win after suffering a dramatic one-wicket defeat to Afghanistan in Dunedin today which leaves them facing elimination. Wardlaw bowled the final over with Afghanistan needing five to overcome Scotland's score of 210. Last man Shapoor Zadran hit the third ball for four to seal Afghanistan's win. Wardlaw, who took 3-53 in Scotland's three-wicket defeat by New Zealand in their opening match and one for 60 in the 119-run defeat to England, had figures of 0-61. Scotland's next match is against Bangladesh in Nelson on Thursday, March 5.
